NATIONAL INVENTION CONTEST AND EXHIBIT 2016
It is not new for Filipinos to discover new things as it was proven in the world. A Filipino inventor invented the fluorescent lamp. Last August I witnessed and saw some great new inventions of my fellow countrymen but what's greater about it is that some of them are young inventors, Filipino youth and this post is to let you know four of the cool stuff that I saw.
IFlood Improvised Flood Alarm and Warning Device
This device is actually very useful. We all know that the Philippines is very prone to many typhoons and that many cities and provinces are also prone and get easily flooded. Also, one of the biggest problem also that our country has is the stubbornness of the Filipinos every time they are being asked to evacuate because of flood.
This device serves as an alarm as water reach the level where the air pressure will push the button and switch on the alarm. I actually forgot the terms and names of the materials that they used.
Despite of that, I think that this simple invention of young Filipinos can be really useful if our government will develop it more.

Aquatic Z.O (Aquatic Zero Oil Skimming Robot)
Probably the issue about oil spilled in the sea of the Philippines is no longer a new issue. There were several incidents that happened in the history of the Philippines and with this incident, the government really had a hard time separating the oil from the sea water.
There were also some instances that Filipinos have to donate hair to help. That is why I think that with this new cool invention, it will not be a big problem anymore.
This robot has the technology where it can skim the oil from the water. And I think that if the government will support and develop this invention, those kinds of incidents like oil spill will no longer be a big problem and will not take a long period of time to be resolve.

The reason why I think it is very useful as I think it is the solution to one of the biggest problem the our country has, and that is probably, the death of our beloved Pasig River. For a very long time this has been a big problem and that many Filipinos and some organizations have been wanting and giving a lot of effort in cleaning and reviving this beautiful river.
I do believe that with this new invention and discovery we can do that. The government should also help in developing and reproducing this substance.
It will be a big thing because if we can revive the Pasig River, our economy will boost as many tourist will come and see on how we did it and of course, it will be back to what is used to be, a very beautiful and romantic scenery. It will open new jobs for Filipinos and will attract tourists.

This invention might have a lesser use compared to the first three but I think that this is useful and great as well on its own way.
Aside from the fact that it will lessen your electricity consumption it can also be a form of exercise, less hustle right? People do not have to go to the gym to exercise in some way, because probably it is tiring to use this.
It has a rolling brush underneath and all you have to do it to roll it on the carpet that you wanted to clean. Once it is full you just have to open it and throw the dirt that accumulated.
An easy and very practical simple device.

I think that this is not the first time for us to hear a substance that can clean water. There were several TV shows that featured the same substance. But this was the first time for me to saw it first hand.
There, they demonstrated its amazing function. There was a sample dirty water, they said it came from mining cites, and he mixed the substance into the sample water. He also actually explained what was the substance made off but I forgot it already, sorry.
